In November 2025, Africa Fire Mission team members trained a second cohort in Active Bleeding Control, following the successful pilot launch in Spring 2025. This training provided both an opportunity to refresh members of cohort one, in addition to welcoming dozens of new instructors for two days of hands-on training.
AFM’s goal, in collaboration with global partners, is to provide Active Bleeding Control training to everyone in Sub-Saharan Africa. The second cohort has now certified dozens of trainers in Kenya and has reached over 1800 people for introductory training.
